Dredging Corp slips 5% on buzz over selloff plan

Shares of state-run Dredging Corporation of India tumbled nearly 5 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after Economic Times reported that the government may withdraw its plan to sell the company to private players. Reacting to the news, stocks of the company declined as much 4.84 per cent to touch an intra-day low of Rs 832.35 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

In a similar fashion, shares of the firm were trading 4.14 per cent lower at Rs 840.40 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 34,526.68, up 93.61 points, or 0.27 per cent, at 12:45 hours.
