Linde India zooms 20% on buyout offer from promoter

Shares of Linde India rallied 20 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the company said that its promoter, BOC Group, intends to buy 100 per cent stake in the company. Boosted by the announcement, shares of the company gained as much as 19.99 per cent and touched an intra-day high of Rs 582.65 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

In a similar trend, stocks of the firm were trading at Rs 565.50 apiece, up 16.39 per cent, on the National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 35,231.54, down 6.14 points, or 0.02 per cent, from the previous close on the BSE at 12:25 hours.
