New Delhi :
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) delegation on Thursday reached Election Commission over action against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s remark on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah.
The delegation was led by Union Minister of Human Resource Development Prakash Javadekar. While interacting with the mediapersons, he informed that the delegation has urged EC to take action against CM Banerjee for calling PM Modi and Amit Shah goons. ‘If a Chief Minister of the state calls Prime Minster Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah goons, that breaks the limits of civilisation. She has violated the Model Code of Conduct. We have demanded the Election Commission to take immediate action against her,” said Javadekar.
The delegation also requested EC to take history-sheeters and goons under custody one day prior for peaceful elections in the state.
