Daily Market Update - 30th October 2026 by Ventura Securities Ltd

Market Outlook: Indian markets are likely to open marginally positive, with Gift Nifty up 18 points (+0.08%), despite a weak global setup. US markets ended lower, with the S&P 500 down 0.30%, Dow Jones down 0.25% and Nasdaq 100 declining 1.38%, while Asian markets were largely weak. The Nifty gained 1.05% on 29 October to close at 22,936.75, supported by broad-based buying, with 39 of 50 constituents advancing. Nifty's immediate support stands at 22,741, followed by 22,546, while resistance is placed at 23,046 and 23,156. The decline in India VIX to 15.0 and PCR at 1.18 indicate relatively improved near-term sentiment, although elevated crude, rupee weakness and uncertainty around the Fed's December policy remain key risks.

FII & DII Activity: Foreign investors turned net sellers on 29 October, with FII/FPI outflows of Rs 943.6 crore, while DIIs remained strong buyers with net inflows of Rs 1,924.4 crore. The divergence highlights continued dependence on domestic institutional support as foreign flows remain volatile. On the derivatives side, Nifty PCR stands at 1.18, with maximum Call OI at 23,500 and Put OI at 22,000, suggesting a positive bias but with resistance emerging around higher levels.
