Franklin India Small Cap Fund, one of the Indian mutual fund industry's few small-cap schemes with a 20-year track record, has crossed the significant milestone of Rs 14,000 crore in assets under management (AUM), underscoring investor confidence in its long-term investment strategy and wealth creation capabilities.

The fund's growth has been supported by its consistent focus on identifying high-quality small-cap companies with strong growth potential and scalable business models. Over the years, the scheme has helped investors participate in India's economic growth story through carefully selected emerging businesses across sectors.

Demonstrating the Power of Long-Term Wealth Creation

The fund's performance is reflected in the wealth it has created for investors over time. A one-time investment of Rs 10,000 made at the fund's inception would have grown to approximately Rs. 89.9 lakh, representing a seventeen-fold increase in value.

Similarly, a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) of Rs 10,000 per month over the last 15 years would have accumulated to approximately Rs 81.00 lakh, demonstrating the benefits of disciplined investing and the power of long-term compounding.

Investment Details

The scheme carries an exit load of 1% for units redeemed within one year from the date of investment to encourage longer term investments that allow for the scheme’s thesis to play out.

Investors can start with a minimum initial investment of Rs 5,000 and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter. Additional investments can be made with a minimum amount of Rs 1,000 and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter.
