Nifty opened on a flat note and remained in a small range throughout the day. Nifty closed at 23898 with a gain of 24 points. On the daily chart the index has formed a Bearish candle with a long upper shadow indicating selling at higher levels. The chart pattern suggests that if Nifty crosses and sustains above 25050 level it would witness buying which would lead the index towards 24150-24250 levels. Important Supports for the day is around 23870 However if index sustains below 23870 then it may witness profit booking which would take the index towards 23800-23700 levels.
