Below the Quote on Quarter-End & Festive Market Outlook by Vinit Bolinjkar, Head of Research, Ventura
“September ended on a weak note. The Nifty fell about 6%, its worst September since 2018, leaving it nearly 14% below its 52-week high as FIIs sold Rs 44,000 crore on elevated crude and US yields. DIIs absorbed Rs 76,000 crore, and record SIP inflows of Rs32,297 crore in August underline retail resilience. IPO supply remains heavy, with a record ~Rs 94,000 crore raised in H1 FY27 and a Rs 3.86 lakh crore pipeline that could keep liquidity tight. We expect October to stay volatile and range-bound until Q2 earnings give direction. Festive months have been mixed. The Nifty fell 2.8% in October 2023 and 6.2% in 2024, but rose 4.9% in 2025. Muhurat sessions have closed green eight years running. Diwali falls on November 8, and easing crude and FII selling are the key triggers for a festive recovery.”
